Abstract
A new nautiloid species, Eutrephoceras drazindai sp. nov., is described from the Drazinda Formation (Kirthar Group) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K.P.K), Pakistan. The formation is of late Lutetian–Bartonian to Priabonian age (approximately 43.5–38 Ma) and the new species therefore represents a Middle to Late Eocene record. The holotype is a planispiral, involute shell with slightly sinuous external sutures. This is the first nautiloid species to be formally described from the Drazinda Formation of northern Pakistan and it extends the known distribution of Eocene nautiloids within the eastern Tethyan realm.
